RobinMail is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app processes all data entirely on your Mac. No information is transmitted to external servers, and no data leaves your device. This policy covers both the RobinMail app and the robinmailapp.com website.
Data Collection (App)
The RobinMail app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:
- No email content is sent to any server
- No extracted contacts are uploaded or shared
- No usage analytics or telemetry are collected by the app
- No crash reports are sent automatically
- No cookies or tracking technologies are used by the app
- No account creation is required
Local Processing
All email parsing, contact extraction, duplicate detection, and data enrichment happens entirely on your Mac. Your email files and extracted contacts remain in your local file system and are never transmitted over the network.
File Access
RobinMail only accesses files that you explicitly provide — either by dragging them into the app or selecting them via the file picker. The app does not scan your file system or access files beyond what you provide.
Website Analytics
The robinmailapp.com website uses a privacy-friendly analytics service to understand how the website is used. This service:
- Does not use cookies
- Does not collect personal data or IP addresses
- Does not track users across sessions or websites
- Collects only anonymous, aggregated data such as page views, referrer, country, browser, and operating system
No cookie consent banner is required because no cookies are placed.
Third-Party Services
The RobinMail app does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services, APIs, or analytics platforms. The website uses anonymous, cookie-free analytics as described above.
App Store
RobinMail is distributed through the Mac App Store. Apple may collect information related to your App Store purchase as described in Apple's Privacy Policy. RobinMail itself has no access to your Apple ID or purchase information.
Data Retention
Since no data is collected, there is no data to retain. Any contacts or files you work with in RobinMail exist only on your local machine and are under your full control.
Children's Privacy
RobinMail does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since the app collects no data from any user, it is compliant with COPPA and similar regulations.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Since RobinMail does not collect email addresses, we recommend checking this page periodically.
